We stopped by the Portland Chinese Garden on our way to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI).
The garden was full of photogenic flowers, ponds and buildings. It’s tough to allow the garden to bring a sence of peace to yourself when you are in the middle of a bustling downtown metropolitan as well as keeping tabs on a toddler. Nevertheless, I found the gardens to be a great place to take a stroll and appreciate the ways of the old world.
The OMSI (ohm-zee in local speak) was so much fun, I wish we had gotten there earlier and was able to spend more time exploring the exhibits. I think once we make the final trek up here (as in move the family), we’ll invest in a family membership and visit the OMSI on a monthly basis. It’s great to have educational activites such as this available to kids.
