Japanese Garden

4 09 2006

Today, we visited the Japanese Garden in Portland. It was a nice place to visit. We found a week pass of local attractions and decided to use this one first. The Japanese Garden is a nice little nature preserve in the mountains behind Portland. I was clueless regarding all the various plants on display in the garden, however, the gardens were a very nice way spend an afternoon. Eliana loved the part of the garden with the waterfall, and the fish in the pond. I enjoyed the zen garden, where they made little patterns in the sand. without leaving footprints. In all, I think the time of year we visited wasn’t the most ideal to see all the amamzing colors offered by the vegetation, however, it was still a worthwhile visit (with a big deal pass anyways).
